The Particle Calibration Laboratory (PCL) has the ability to generate and characterize gas-, liquid-, and surface-borne particles using a broad and unique collection of instruments.

Testing would include but not be limited to characterization of aerosols, filter testing, and instrumentation testing and calibrations.

Available equipment includes an ASHRAE 52.2 style wind tunnel, smaller wind tunnels, a variety of impactors, a Vibrating Orifice Aerosol Generator, an Optical Particle Counter along with a variety of other particle characterization instruments.

Modified ASTM F2519 Testing: Standard Test Method for Grease Particle Capture Efficiency of Commercial Kitchen Filters and Extractors
The ASHRAE 52.2 tunnel is used for a variety of experiments.
The LPG nebulizers are used to spray virus into the ASHRAE 52.2 tunnel to test various virus mitigation technologies.
